Suppers at Nethergill to use homegrown rare breed beef as well as Nethergill lamb in 2012.

After a day walking over the Fells, a long soak in a hot bath, settle down to a tender beef casserole made with our home grown grass fed White Shorthorn beef, vegetables (local and often homegrown), homemade garlic bread accompanied by a glass of beer or wine in front of a roaring log fire read more

Greenfields Forest Biomass boiler on the way...

Having researched every renewable energy option we have decided to install a biomass boiler which will source timber from the large forest on the edge of our land read more

     
Self Catering and Field Centre coming soon...

Fingers crossed we will be starting to convert our hayloft and shippon into 2 self catering apartments and a field centre starting next month.  Completion date is due around July 2012.  The conversion will be as green and wildlife friendly as possible and will be heated by our new biomass boiler and a wood burning stove in each apartment.  Please email for more information fiona.clark@nethergill.co.uk

     
More conservation projects in the pipeline...

2000 trees will be planted trees along two gill sides with help from Natural England. 
We will be working with Upper Wharfe River Restoration Project - (part of the Yorkshire Dales River Trust) and Wharfedale Naturalist Society this Spring to reduce river erosion along the banks of the Oughtershaw Beck running across Nethergill land read more
